Children and Youth Work

The practical youth work is done in the 2200 YMCA groups in the cities, towns and villages up and down the country.

The National Association coordinates and fosters the work with conferences, seminares and material. Once a year the committees for youth work of the National Association come together. Each of the 13 member association send their delegates to these committees. Here, an intense exchange takes place, advice is found and plans are being made.

In these committees, current youth topics are discussed and discoveries put into action. It is important that the judging of prevailing trends and movements is done on the basis of the biblical foundation and the positive attitude of God towards young people.

Special events like Days of Volunteers, Youth Bible Camps and conferences are prepared and realised by the committees in coordination with the member associations.

The children and youth work in the YMCA umbrella organisation falls into three categories:
Childrens' Groups - Young People - Young Adults
